A meat and seafood lovers paradise.

Darrell’s 2, the little brother of the Manteo’s iconic Darrell’s, is now open for business at the Outer Banks Mall in Nags Head. Owner Tanner Daniels says, Darrell’s 2 features a slightly different look from its older sibling. For Nags Head, Daniels went for a more contemporary beach look while maintaining the nautical theme of the original.

A long, free-standing table in the bar section can accommodate large groups. In-house diners will notice another change — a wide selection of craft brews and wines.

The beach location is also emphasizing BBQ offerings and most importantly, large carry-out selections of BBQ, ribs and fried chicken for those wishing to dine in their rental homes without the fuss of preparing the meal.

Dining-in selections include their popular fried fish items — oysters, shrimp, flounder and clam strips. Meat lovers can dig into hickory smoked ribs (smoked on site) with a half-rack and full racks. Hickory-smoked North Carolina style BBQ plates, Chicken strips and a 4-piece fried chicken dinner are also available.

The lunch menu offers the same selections, with prices ranging from $8.99 for a two-piece fried chicken plate up to $21.99 for a full rack of ribs. All lunch and dinner offerings come with hushpuppies and two sides.

Appetizers, salads and a sandwiches are also offered, including fried oysters, fried chicken, BBQ, fried fish, Buffalo shrimp and in season, softshell crabs. A Kid’s Menu of with popcorn shrimp, chicken strips, BBQ and fried fish ranges in price from $5.99 to $7.49.

Regular menu items are also available for takeout. For those large family gatherings, we have dinners that will feed smaller groups of 3-4 people all the way up to larger groups of 12-16 people.

Darrells 2 also offers full service catering for the entire Outer Banks including Nags Head, Kitty Hawk, and Kill Devil Hills.
